THE 2nd NED JAMES FESTIVAL OF WOMEN’S WERK, WORCESTER CITY ART GALLERY (2013)

Group exhibition alongside Celine Berger, Celine Condorelli, Sally O’ reilly, Monika Stricker, Pilvi Takala, Carey Young. Curated by Nathaniel Pitt. http://www.divisionoflabour.co.uk

“However – I prefer to not dwell on the rather patronizing premise of this festive occasion. It is true that women’s labor, whether manual or intellectual, business or domestic, paid (ergo productive in terms of capitalism) or unpaid, remains under appreciated to date. And this festival is offering an opportunity to let female voices take center stage in articulating ideas about labor, work and production (and perhaps even leisure) in a debate that historically and still is dominated by men. You, Ned, pointed out that Division of Labour is a solely male outfit, and would welcome some female interference. And there you have it.”
A3 WORKS, A3 Project Space, Birmingham (2013)
Inclusion in group exhibition. http://a3projectspace.org

A3 Works brings together the work of over 50 artists who each approach the dimensions of the A3 paper scale as a limitless possibility. The curators, Cathy Wade and Trevor Pitt, invited artists they have previously collaborated with along with those they are developing new relationships to be part of the opening exhibition of a new art gallery for Birmingham. The exhibition includes new and existing works by contemporary artists and designers working nationally and internationally.
